Terms & Conditions — Housepedia
Please read these terms carefully before using our inspection services. By booking or using Housepedia services you accept these terms.
1. Services
Housepedia provides property inspections and audits (civil, electrical, plumbing, society audits, pre-purchase inspections and related services) in Delhi NCR. Services are described on our website and confirmed at booking.
2. Scope & Limitations
- Inspections are primarily non-destructive and visual. We test using field instruments where indicated (thermal cameras, moisture meters, pressure testing, earthing testers, etc.).
- We report on visible defects and conditions present at the time of inspection; concealed issues not detectable without invasive testing may not be identified.
- Recommendations are advisory. Housepedia does not perform repair works unless separately contracted.
3. Booking, Confirmation & Payments
- Bookings are accepted via our website, email or phone. A booking is confirmed when Housepedia issues a confirmation (email/SMS) and, if applicable, payment is received as per the invoice.
- Prices shown on the website are indicative unless stated as a fixed quote. Final prices may vary based on property size, scope, optional tests and site conditions.
- Payments can be made by bank transfer, UPI, or other payment methods listed on the invoice. Full payment terms are included in the booking confirmation.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice may be rescheduled without charge. See your invoice for any cancellation fees specific to your booking.
- No-shows or late cancellations (under 24 hours) may incur a cancellation fee up to a percentage of the booking fee.
- Housepedia may reschedule due to inspector availability, safety concerns, or other operational reasons; we will notify you and offer alternate slots.
5. Reports & Deliverables
- Inspection reports are delivered digitally (PDF) within the timeframe specified in the booking (typically 24–48 hours).
- Reports include observations, severity ratings, recommended priority actions and photographic evidence where applicable.
- Clients can request raw instrument logs or additional data; such requests may be subject to an administrative charge.
6. Liability & Warranty
- Housepedia exercises reasonable skill and care when carrying out inspections. However, we cannot guarantee detection of all defects, particularly those concealed or requiring destructive inspection.
- Housepedia’s liability for direct loss arising from our negligence is limited to the fee paid for the affected inspection service.
- Housepedia is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of use, or claims by third parties relying on the report.
7. On-site Safety & Access
- Clients must ensure safe access to the inspection area and disclose hazards (hazardous materials, unsafe structures, aggressive animals, etc.).
- Inspectors will not carry out works that endanger them; in such cases we will report access issues in writing and may need to reschedule.
8. Privacy & Data Use
We collect personal information necessary for booking and report delivery. We will not sell your data. For full details on data handling and retention, refer to our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
All reports, images, recommendations and proprietary methodologies provided by Housepedia remain our intellectual property. Clients are granted a limited license to use reports for personal property decisions, transactions and to share with relevant third-parties (banks, contractors, lawyers).
10. Fees & Taxes
All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated. Taxes (GST etc.) will be applied as required by law and shown on invoices.
11. Complaints & Re-inspection
- If you dispute an inspection finding, notify Housepedia within 7 days with details. We will review and, if valid, may offer a re-inspection or rectification guidance.
- We reserve the right to charge for re-inspections where the original findings are unchanged and the re-inspection is requested for the client’s convenience.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gurugram, Haryana.
13. Changes to These Terms
Housepedia may update these Terms from time to time. We will publish the updated Terms on our website with the “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
